Jimmy used to be the clown of the family, always crazy and wild and quite stubborn at times. His adoration of U2 front man Bono and Bruce Springsteen is legendary and their influence was very obvious during earlier concerts and in his music.

Jimmy had to take a break when he had some serious problems with his vocal chords and wasn't able to sing.

He was also the first of the guys who cut his hair - radically.

Jimmy took a second time out from the band when pursued his interest in making films. He visited a school in Ireland and made a short film of his own called "The Boxer", which was shown at the Berlin Film Festival.

Jimmy got married in 2005 and became a father of his first child in the summer of 2006.
