- Dan marries his first wife
- Dan's first child Daniel (Danny) is born
- July 20th - Caroline Kelly is born
- March 6th - Kathy Kelly is born in Leominster, Massachusetts
- Paul Kelly is born
- Dan moves with his family and their nanny Barbara Ann to Toledo, Spain
- Dan separates from his first wife
- March 8th - John Kelly is born in Talavera, Spain
- November 25th - Patricia Kelly is born in Gamonal, Spain
- November 6th - Dan marries his second wife Barbara Ann

- on their summer open air tour the Kellys are playing without Patricia

- when the Kellys retreat to their house in Ireland it's rumoured they are leaving Germany
- Jimmy is missing on several concerts
